A film worth watching

Here's a little story: some years back David Williamson, the Aussie playwright, write a story in the newspaper about the role of emotions in our lives.  I read it & thought it was a good piece so wrote to David saying; "Mate what you wrote in the paper makes sense and in fact we use similar ideas in our work (or something to that effect).  Before you know it he called my place & spoke to Gene who took a message to call him back.  We ended up having lunch and he asked lots of questions about Restorative Justice Conferencing and our work. I gave him some examples of what happens in a conference. He liked what he heard so came & checked them out and then attended a training session I ran.  Finally he wrote the play called Face to Face, followed by two others, A Conversation and Charitable Intent.  All of these have played to sellout houses in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Rio de Janeiro and Manchester in England to name a few.  They're know collectively as The Jack Manning Trilogy with the one constant linking the three plays being the facilitator's character, Jack, who is based on me. Now Face to Face has been made into a feature film which last week won the jury's prize at the Santa Barbara Independent Film Festival.  The trailer is here for you to see & I'll let you know when the film is released in your area.Check it out.

And btw been enjoying lots of riding and swimming.  Go to the docs tomorrow to get my gammy knee checked out. J
