It's Tuesday 5.08pm & I'm just wrapping up another day in the office. It went like this:
Meeting with a client who wants us to to a Conference for a group of 15 people. The main difficult person has a mental illness (bi-polar), is partial to excessive alcohol consumption, regularly misses his medication & has recently been assessed as fit to return to work. The poor buggers who work with him are outraged & threatening to do something they'll regret.
We've got 8 of these Conferences on at the moment in this office. It's wonderfully busy.
Next was a meeting with one of our staff for the monthly catch-up which was great. Then it was a mtg with another client preparing a Conference involving someone who I suspect is a little unbalanced. Her team have diagnosed her as a psychopath & they may be right. We still have to figure out what to do. Then it was on to talking internally about the big insurance companies & how to get the Govt to expand the categories to include more innovative approaches to Return to Work issues & reduce their & the Govt's costs.
I'm in need of a good run. My team are heading off to Track at Sydney Athletic Park which is brilliant. Wish I could join them. I'll be away next week in the bush when Track is on again so it'll be another two weeks before I'm back there. Bondi was perfect this morning & the City was warming up heading back to summer.
I emailed some info to people this morning on the Hillsong Church & their Gloria Jeans Coffee business. They're scoundrels for sure. Christianity take some weird interpretations, none more so than people who think it's cool to rip others off under the guise of a church. Not nice.
It's home to cook dinner (an unusual event in our house as my beautiful wife is a MasterChef) & catch up with the gang. More on them shortly. J
Hillsong own Gloria Jeans? What a strange world it is...I had no idea buying coffee there would indirectly be funding a cult! Will pass it on..
